The WatchMate App connects to your Vesper Marine AIS Transponder to offer remote control functionality and enhance situational awareness on your iPhone or iPad.

The WatchMate App serves as the user interface for configuring and remotely controlling your Vesper Marine AIS Transponder, particularly in situations where it lacks its own display, such as with the Vesper Marine XB-8000.

• View AIS Targets received by your Vesper Marine AIS Transponder.
• Set up and manage collision prevention alarm profiles.
• Manage your MOB alarms.
• Control and monitor your Anchor Watch alarm.
• Access your AIS Transponder's GPS Position, Course, and Speed.
• Check the operational status of your AIS Transponder.
• Remote control your AIS Transponder settings.
• Easily switch between Silent Mode and Normal Transmitting mode.
• Configure your Vessel's AIS Static data (MMSI, Call Sign, Vessel Type, Vessel Size).
• Perform firmware upgrades.

Note: For iPhone4 devices, a transponder firmware update is required to reliably perform firmware upgrades. This feature is automatically disabled in the app on an iPhone4 and will become available once the device is loaded with the firmware to support it (V3.2 and up).

Connection options include linking to your WatchMate device's WIFI access point or being on the same wifi network. The app supports Vesper Marine XB-8000 AIS Transponder and Vesper Marine WatchMate Vision®.

Therefore, Vesper Marine does not guarantee that this product is entirely error-free. As an experienced user, it is essential to apply common sense and rely on sound navigational judgement. While we believe in the functionality of the WatchMate App, nothing can replace using all your senses for making navigational safety decisions. We recommend maintaining a permanent watch and utilizing multiple navigation aids alongside the WatchMate App.
